Email Alert is designed to keep mailbox credentials on your device wherever possible.

Mailbox passwords are intended to be stored securely on your iPhone and are not meant to be synced in plaintext through the cloud.

The app’s current email preview flow is designed around headers and matching metadata: sender, subject, date, attachment presence, folder context, alert/VIP status, and ignored-sender status.

VIP email addresses, ignored email addresses, matching fragments, and alert rules are user-managed configuration. They can be edited in the app and are separate from full mailbox content.

Any future premium sync features are expected to focus on configuration, not raw mailbox credentials.
